Bluebeam Tutorials
For more information on using Bluebeam, the Bluebeam website can provide great resources. Below are a few keys functions that relate to hyperlinked drawings.
Links and Places: When maintaining a linked drawing set it is important to fully understand the process of placing links so you can link to RFI's as they are issued to the team.
Sets: Manage sets of drawings as individual PDF files but still viewed and versions tracked as a set.
Spaces: Create areas in the plans whose properties can be tracked, sorted and filtered between sheets. Great for use in punch list management.
Batch Link: This function is great for small projects or quick improvements in functionality. This will automatically place links on the callouts within your set. It does not work seamlessly most times and requires that the files names be perfectly provided with proper punctuation, but can be a big time-saver for quick fixes.
Optical Character Recognition (OCR): This will attempt to convert a raster PDF into a vector PDF. A raster PDF is one that is not searchable, etc. By converting to vector PDF, you are able to search the text or images, cut content, highlight text, etc.
